Celebrate the opening of the Warbler Ridge trail as we hear from special guests and cheer on those that have made this special place accessible to the community.
boot footprint 2:30 pm & 3:30 pm: Guided Hikes of New Trail System

Join knowledgeable interpretive guides, botanists, biologists and land stewards as we hike a variety of the Warbler trail system options including:
  • Cemetery Ridge Trail
  • Warbler Loop Trail
  • Warbler Trail (celebrating first anniversary)
Trail app 2:30 - 5:00 pm - Warbler Ridge Hike App Release w/ On-Site Support

The Warbler Hike App is complete and available for download- hurray! This smartphone or tablet App can be purchased for $0.99 and includes 12 Hike Tour Stations stops at which visitors will learn about the animals, plants and natural space along the trail. Guests can read along or simply listen to the audio version while hiking- enjoy! Available at your App Store- Search "Prairie State Hikes".

Musical note

2:30-5:00 pm: Live Music; The Young and the Fretless Band

Stop for a while and enjoy the sounds of “The Young and the Fretless” Band, known for their “old-time mountain music on the prairie” while visiting with familiar Grand Prairie Friends, and meeting new ones.

Bring a lawn chair for your favorite seat!
