Many gardeners and butterfly enthusiasts see fewer butterflies than in the past. Butterflies are certainly facing challenges that are negatively impacting their populations. The plight of the monarch butterfly is particularly concerning. The US Fish and Wildlife Service has recently proposed Endangered Species Act Protection for it along with urging increased public engagement to help save the species.
GPF will cover in their talk "Calling All Butterflies!" what individuals and entire neighborhoods can do to help attract and preserve our butterfly populations. We're calling on you to learn more!
