About the event

Can the air tell you what plants are in your prairie or bees are buzzing by? Come learn how researchers are filtering the air to detect species using environmental DNA or eDNA. New monitoring tools like eDNA are helping land managers monitor for biodiversity like bats and bees. Come to the May Mingle to hear about improving the conservation value of prairie habitat using eDNA and remote sensing technologies like drones and satellites.

Enjoy a social hour with refreshments and mingling with Grand Prairie Friends members and staff and hear from our guest researcher, Dr. Ashley Bennet.

This will be followed by our monthly Board Meeting. All are welcome to stay.

Grand Prairie Friends Board Meetings are held the 4th Monday of each month. Please email sarah@grandprairiefriends.org to participate.
